PENDULAR RING ROLLER MILL TYPE "PD.1504 - PD.1200"
FEATURES
For fine grinding of chemical products and minerals of medium hardness and abrasiveness
Product fineness adjustable in the range 20- 400๗micron
Low specific production cost, due to:
Low energy consumption
Reliable operation
Automatic control
Efficient drying by blowing hot gas through the mill
Dust free operation in open or closed air circuit depending on specific application

WORKING PRINCIPLEThe raw material is fed into the grinding chamber at controlled rate by the feeder (1). Grinding is mainly by compression of product layers due to the centrifugal force of the pendulum rollers (2) along the fixed ring (3).
The ground product is drawn upwards by the blower (4) and classified by the air separator (5), on the top of the mill.
The coarse particles fall again into the mill, while the fine product is discharged pneumatically and collected by the filter (6)
The clean air is exhausted through the chimney (9) and the silencer (8) in compliance with the environment regulations.
When necessary hot gases (7) are blown through the mill for a very efficient drying (950๗1000 Kcal/kg H2O evaporated) thank to very intensive heat exchange.
An advanced control system automatically regulates all working parameters to provide the best performance.

Operation under inert gas. |
The ROLLER MILL can operate in closed circulation of inert gas, controlled by suitable safety equipment.
In these conditions the Roller Mill can process materials, such as sulphur, subject to explosion when in contact with standard air.
Removal of impurities
The machine can be fitted with devices for removing impurities that may be present in the material to be ground; these devices act on the different grindability and density of the impurities compared with the principal product.
EXAMPLE
Separation of hard impurities from talc
Separation of quartz from clays or kaolin
APPLICATIONS
CIMMA pendular roller mills are used in hundreds of plants producing ceramic pressed tiles (gres, single fired, double fired), extruded floor tiles, klinker, roof tiles, flower pots. Inert raw materials can be ground mixed with clays. The requested granulometry is easily obtained with the proper choice and regulation of the air classifier. Check screening of the product is usually not necessary.
The ceramic bodies prepared with Pendular Roller Mills provide ceramic products with high mechanical properties and very smooth surface, free from defects. Clays with moisture up to 10๗12% are easily processed at full capacity and competitive cost with the introduction of hot gas through the mill.
